Notice of Special General Meeting

Reregistration under the Incorporated Societies Act and Draft Constitution

Under the Incorporated Societies Act 2022 (Act) the Auckland University Rugby Football Club (AURFC) is required to reregister on the Incorporated Societies Register.

To reregister, the AURFC must have a constitution that complies with the Act.

The Board of the AURFC has drafted a constitution to replace its current Rules.  The draft constitution (including drafting notes) is attached with this notice.

To progress reregistration, all members are invited to a Special General Meeting (SGM) of the AURFC at the offices of Hesketh Henry and online on Friday 20 March 2025 at 1pm to vote on the following:

1.            That the AURFC reregisters on the Incorporated Societies Register.

2.            That the AURFC adopts the draft constitution.

3.            That the Board is authorised to take all necessary steps to effect reregistration.

For those attending the SGM in person, lunch will be provided.
