Notice of 2023 AGM and

call for nominations


The Auckland University Rugby Football Club (AURFC) notifies all members that the Club’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) with be held at its Clubrooms on Thursday 23 November 2023 from 6.30 pm.

Prior to the AGM, the AURFC’s board calls for all nominations for the following elected positions to be voted on at the AGM:


Officers


  • President – the incumbent Dave Clark is seeking re-election.
  • Secretary – the incumbent Simon Cartwright is seeking re-election.
  • Treasurer – the incumbent David Sisam is seeking re-election.
  • Honorary Solicitor – the incumbent Brad Davis is seeking re-election.


General Board Members


Three positions are available:


  • David Hutchens is seeking re-election for a 3-year term.
  • Daniel Braid is seeking re-election for a 3-year term.
  • Richard Cawson is seeking re-election for a 2-year term.


The Board would also like to receive nominations for life membership and notification of any matters which members would like to be included as part of the AGM’s general business.


Any nominations and notifications must be received not later than Thursday 9 November 2022.  All nominations and notifications should be emailed to Simon Cartwright at simon.cartwright@heskethhenry.co.nz. 


All nominations must include a completed scanned copy of the AURFC AGM Nomination form which can be found on the AURFC website: http://www.aurfc.co.nz or requested from Simon Cartwright at the above email address.

Honorary Solicitor – the incumbent Brad Davis seeks re-election.  There are no other nominations.

10.Election of Officers and Board Members

The following positions will be voted on at the AGM.  In accordance with the Club’s Rules, only those members who have paid their subscription by the close of business on Wednesday 23 November 2021 will have the right to vote.

(a)President: The current President, Dave Clark, is seeking re-election.  There are no other nominations. 

(b)Secretary: The current secretary, Simon Cartwright, is seeking re-election.  There are no other nominations. 

(c)Treasurer: The current Treasurer, David Sisam, is seeking re-election.  There are no other nominations. 

(d)Five Elected Board Members

(i)Current Board Member David Hutchen’s term has expired.  He seeks re-election for a 3 year term. 
(ii)Current Board Member Daniel Braid’s term has expired.  He seeks election for a 3 year term. 
(iii)Current Board Member Richard Cawson’s term has expired.  He seeks election for a 2 year term. 

There are no other nominations. 

(e)Life Member:  Neil Cotton has been nominated as a Life Member of the Club.
